JJA:   STUDENT CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

The School Committee recognizes the educational values inherent in student participation in school-sponsored extracurricular activities that support the mission of the Kittery schools.  The School Committee supports the formation of student groups and organizations for such purposes of extending the instructional program, giving students practice in democratic self-government, building morale, unity and school spirit, and providing wholesome social and recreational activities related to the curriculum.

The Superintendent/designee may develop general guidelines for the approval of student clubs and organizations.  Only approved student clubs and organizations may represent the school and use the school system’s name and logo, or the school’s name and logo for fundraising purposes.
